Megan Grace - nearly 1 year old!
On the 3rd June 2006 my first and only niece was born. Little Megan Grace, a beautiful baby girl. I wasn't able to meet her until i went home at Christmas but then i had the pleasure of seeing her for almost a week. She's got an amazing character and has been a real addition to the family. Mum and dad are fantastic with her and love having her around. Dom and Tessa came over to Australia for a holiday in February. It was so nice to spend some time with them all even though the weather was so warm at times it made things a little tough. They had hired a nice house up at Noosa and i spent the weekend with them up there. We really just relaxed and spent time in the pool and on the beach. The following weekend they came to stay with me in Brisbane, we did a few touristy things including Australia Zoo, which was amazing but again a bit too hot.

Anyway she will be one years old in June and in many ways it makes me sad that i have only seen her on two occassions. You miss out on a lot living overseas - you definitely take it all on board and it's not hard. Her picutres make me smile and this post was really just an excuse to put some photos up and show her to the world!

Charley and Andy get married
When i first met Charley and then Andy back in 2003 I could have told you right then and there that they would end up being together forever. We all travelled out to Madagascar to start a years contract with Frontier, Andy the experienced field scientist and Charley and I the novices fairly new to it all. The plan was that Charley and Andy would work on the same marine program on the South-West coast of Madagascar. What soon materialised was that Frontier actually wanted Andy to set up a new program further down the coast and Charley was to remain on the existing one. I hadn't known Charley long at this point but i soon learned that this was far from ideal and NOT the plan! Looking back it was probably a good thing. Charley was left to hold her own in Anakao and ended up leading various aspects of the science program. Everyone loved her. Anyway, our year in MG went by and Charley and Andy remained strong. They then moved to Scotland for a short period before moving to Mexico for a couple of years. I'm so happy to know them both. They have been such amazing friends to me, i just wish we could end up living in the same country for a little while! Anyway this was supposed to be about their wedding! On the 20th April 2007 Andy and Charley got married. It was a small beautiful wedding. It'll be followed in December by a big reception to celebrate with all their friends. So finally they have tied the knot, they have also bought a beautiful house in St Albans and i can't imagine it will be long before a little Heeza or Sheeza comes along.
